Make sure you read through this full strain profile to find the secret code you can use for 5% off on your next purchase at our medical dispensaries. All you have to do is find it, save it to your memory, and then let your budtender know what it is during your next visit to get the deal. Remember, secret codes expire one week after they're posted. Lucky for you, we publish a new one (and a new strain profile) every Tuesday.

With that little intro out of the way, let's talk weed. Animal Roadkill #3 is one of our most popular strains by far. As a matter of fact, as far as we know, we're the only dispensary in Colorado Springs and Colorado that grows it (or even HAS it, for that matter). While it isn't on the shelves all the time, we're expecting a new batch of it to be ready for purchase later this week, probably Wednesday or Thursday-ish, so keep an eye out for it. Animal Roadkill #3 is a pheno-hunted cross between Animal Cookies and an ultra-rare phenotype of Afghani known as Skunk Spray. It displays pretty balanced hybrid effects, making it a great choice for managing a variety of medical conditions and keeping your head in a good place all day and all night. Animal Roadkill also boasts extremely high potency levels, so keep in mind that a little goes a long way. Too much and you may find yourself couch-locked in a state of pure euphoric bliss! Here's our complete Animal Roadkill #3 strain profile as well as a detailed personal review that covers everything you need to know about the effects, smells, flavors, and appearance of Animal Roadkill flower.

The Quick Rundown: Animal Roadkill #3 Strain Profile

If you're just here for a quick look at the Animal Roadkill strain, you'll find everything you need to know below. While we're covering the details of Animal Roadkill #3 flower specifically, you can keep these in mind when you consider hybrid strains containing Animal Roadkill as well as concentrates and vape cartridges since the effects translate well. The biggest difference is that Animal Roadkill vape cartridges and Animal Roadkill concentrates are more potent than the flower alone, with THC levels ranging from 70-95% THC.

In-Depth Details: Animal Roadkill #3 Strain Profile:

Animal Roadkill is one of those strains you just can't find. It hasn't been circulated enough to get a ton of media coverage on the big strain review sites (lookin' at you, Leafly) or make its way into a ton of different dispensaries since the breeder keeps the strain pretty tight-knit. We were lucky enough to get our cut of it a couple of years back, and in that time it's grown into one of our most popular strains. People with medical cards come from all over the state to get a taste of it when it drops since it can only be found at The Epic Remedy. Hype, right?

Absolutely. Animal Roadkill #3 is a balanced 50/50 hybrid cross between Sativa-dominant Animal Cookies (made from Girl Scout Cookies and Fire OG) and a rare, unique phenotype of Indica-dominant Afghani landrace named "Skunk Spray" for it's unique, kushy stank that smells pretty similar to (you guessed it) skunk. These two strains come together to make our pheno-hunted cut of Animal Roadkill, called Animal Roadkill #3. The final product is a beautiful flower with a huge plethora of medical uses and heady effects along with an extremely unique scent and flavor profile.

We'll start with her looks. On the plant, Animal Roadkill tends to grow in standard indica-dominant fashion. She displays long, broad water leaves ranging in shades of dark green to purple and black near the end of her lifecycle. Her foliage is thick, and she produces fat, firm stems capable of holding her enormous swollen colas high into the sky. The flowers themselves form large football-sized colas that can be broken into smaller, triangle to football-shaped buds. Each one is absolutely covered in a thick blanket of trichomes that give the buds a glowing, sticky sheen. When the nugs dry, her colors come forward. Animal Roadkill offers many shades of dark green along with a few shades of royal and eggplant purple. Among the main nugs, you can find an electric shade of orange in her pistils which curl through the foliage, giving each one an alien appearance.

Animal Roadkill is also one of the most fragrant plants we grow. The whole building reeks when we pull her down to trim her up and dry her out, but in a good way, not a dead-animal-on-the-side-of-the-road kind of way. As she grows, she has an extremely funky yet refreshing scent. It can be compared to oranges rotting gracefully in a pine forest. As she dries, skunky notes of earth, wood, and spice make an appearance. When the flowers are ground up, those citrus notes hit you full bore leaving you with a lasting impression of pine needles, sweet oranges, and funk.

The scents translate extremely well into the flavor profile of Animal Roadkill #3. A good, deep inhale after the pack and spark coats your mouth with a very resinous earthy flavor, consisting of wood, earth, spice, and pine. It's unique pungent earthiness mellows into a sweet, soft orange flavor after your lungs take a beating from the creamy skunky smoke. It's sweet orange and citrusy flavor makes it a great dessert strain, even with the skunky funk behind it.

As the flavors mellow, so does your body. The high instantly settles into your limbs, making them feel soothed and relaxed while taking your mental state to a place of calm and peace. It's a great choice for letting go of a very stressful day or feelings of anxiety or depression. A deep exhale of Animal Roadkill #3 takes all of your worries away with it! As you sit and appreciate the high, you'll feel a sense of energetic euphoria creep into your mind as a generous body buzz kicks in to soothe your physical ailments. The strain is soothing in both the mind and the body and can be taken in higher doses to encourage sleep. However, Animal Roadkill is a great strain for any time of day since it provides relief without slowing you down, unless of course, you want to be slowed down. Like most strains, Animal Roadkill #3 can dry out your eyes and give you cottonmouth. In high doses, it's sedative and couch-locking, too.

We recommend Animal Roadkill #3 to medical patients with a variety of ills and ailments. If it can be treated with THC, it can be treated with Animal Roadkill, thanks to its potency levels upwards of 20%. Since the high takes hold in both the mind and the body, it's a great choice for people who need help managing their chronic pain, nausea, muscle spasms, and lack of appetite. It can also be used to treat the symptoms of depression, anxiety, severe stress, lack of motivation, difficulty focusing, insomnia, and other sleep-related conditions. One other thing to consider is that Animal Roadkill causes the munchies, so we recommend it to medical patients undergoing chemotherapy to help manage symptoms of pain and nausea as well as a lack of appetite.

All in all, The Epic Remedy's Animal Roadkill #3 is a great choice for any patients who need all-day relief from their symptoms or to be put in a positive, motivated, and focused state of mind. It's balanced body high and mental effects are a great option for relief at any time of day, though your dose will determine how the strain affects you. Shoot low for a good mix without the couch-lock, and shoot high for more body-focused and sedative effects. Without further ado, we're diving into our personal review of the Animal Roadkill strain below.

The Epic Remedy's Animal Roadkill #3 Review

Our Animal Roadkill #3 was reviewed one other time by the fine folks at Cannapages earlier last year, so I kinda knew what to expect going into my sample gram. Peep that macro picture they took (and I stole) to your left. However, the difference between that review and this one is that I took smaller hits to get an appreciation for the flavors and the high before taking it full send and couch-locking myself for the night.

My first impression was that of hype. As one of the

(( e x c l u s i v e ))

insiders, I was able to test a sample. I'd never heard of this strain before I started doin' all the digital stuff for The Epic Remedy, and with a name like Animal Roadkill, there's not a lot of room for error. I wasn't disappointed, either. While the strain has been off the shelves for some time, we harvested a while back and will be reuniting our medical patients with her later this week, so keep an eye on our menus.

My beautiful little nugget was gorgeous. It looked like one of those super frosty exotic strains in my bag and smelled sweet and citrusy with a nice undertone of earthiness. My nose picked up orange and pine with a unique undertone of funk. I'd say it smells like sweet sugary citrus rotting in the sun, but like, if a skunk sprayed its ass juice a mile away. Still noticeable, but not overpowering. It kinda caught me off guard.

Either way, I took that lil guy out when I got home and crushed it up a bit before grinding it and packing it into a small bowl. I took baby hits at first, wary of getting laid out by the sedative punch outlined in the Cannapages review, and was pleasantly surprised to feel kinda energized at first. The strain was like a nice little pick me up, battling my 2:30 feeling and helping me to destress and reassess the rest of the things I needed to take care of that day. It then crept into my body, relaxing my limbs and soothing my sore back, leaving me feeling positive and uplifted, motivated to do work, but deeply relaxed in both my mind and body.

I gotta say, I agree that this one is definitely a hybrid. It isn't particularly sativa or indica, unless you smoke a lot. When you smoke a lot, Animal Roadkill is extremely sedative and will put you on your butt. When you smoke just a hit or two, she just feels awesome. Either way, you're getting a ton of relief, both physical and mental. I've smoked it at all times of day now, but my favorite is definitely evening sessions with this one.

As I finished my chores and work stuff, I ended up smoking the rest of that bowl to myself. She put me on the couch where I ended up in the perfect state of mind to enjoy revisiting Fallout: New Vegas and snacking. And lord, did I snack. Animal Roadkill made me inhale groceries like there was no tomorrow while making me feel positive and uplifted in my head, though physically couch-locked and very, very relaxed.

If I had to rate Animal Roadkill, it's a 10. I mean, most of my reviews are 10s, but hear me out. Animal Roadkill is exotic and rare, extremely easy on the eyes, flavorful, stanky, and she offers a ton of effects that benefit just about everyone, regardless of their symptoms. If you haven't had the chance to try it yet, be on the lookout for it at our North Academy and Fillmore later this week. Oh also, you can use the secret code FULL SEND for 5% off on your next purchase.
